My experience of RT's Book Passing

Well, I've read all of your posts about RT strategy. especially about the book phase.
Unfortunately, I've see only a few of them were correct.(penden is right about 80% though) You people need to REAL UNDERSTAND the mechanic.
Honestly, that countdown shit is stupid. Come on ,u got to use your eye and your brain.

Why we have to pass the book?
We need to get a debuff on us to be able to bring to 2 mini down.
What debuff?
"Chant of Decay" -Decay side
"Prayer of Purity"--Splendor side.

When you pass the book?
Hell, whenever you get the book, we pass--as long as you don't have the "Strained Voice" on you.
It's a blue icon debuff. which may last for 12secs (though normally 6secs.)
Simplify again:
U have the blue icon shit, U hold
U don't have it , U pass
It's that simple. Use your eye to watch your buff slot.
DO NOT use such countdown 6 secs shit, that sometimes will mess up the raid. Believe me, I've done this 1 year before, before than SR even touch it...and I did see "Strained Voice" last for even 11-10secs.... So you'd better trust me.
Then some other advices(optional):
Make a hotkey : /autoinventory and keep your inventory open all the phase if you dont have some UI with showing your inventory directly. Then you can simply do following:
1.When you got the book on your cursor, press da button.
2.Watch you buff slot, once you dont have the blue icon debuff. you do step3.
3.Click the book to next person (better put him on you Extended Target Window).----------------------------------------------------------
Advices for RL:
Use a whole grp to do this pass job and monks are the best class for it.
U can split your monks ,make them go aggro first with Impen on..then rest of raid engage.
That will make monks always get the book first, then start the loop. |
